Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, Development and Enhancement of Broadcom (EMC-Smarts) SMARTS application ensuring that all project deliveries are met, and the finished product meets or exceeds the customer’s expectation.
  • Ensure that all new systems & applications are Designed, Integrated and tested to the highest standards ensuring that all specified requirements are met.
  • To provide effort estimate of projects and enhancements work from given high level design/specifications.
  • Upgrading Fault monitoring platform and liaising with vendor for Integration of new features
  • Ensure creation and maintenance of relevant documentation such as release notes, code version control, deployment guides to enable the integration to be supported smoothly.
  • Debug reported issues and providing resolutions to internal and external customers/users
  • Identify and develop potential improvements and Enhancements in applications.
  • Liaise with cross functional teams integrated with Fault Monitoring and other Network management tools.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in a related field 5-8 years of relevant experience in Application development with understating Fault Monitoring products.
  • Good OSS/BSS Application knowledge
  • Good understanding on Telecom Network
  • Good knowledge programming languages
  • Java/Rest/SOAP/ React etc
  • Excellent Scripting Knowledge in Linux and Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, Perl and Python
  • Excellent knowledge of application development methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge in developing any of the fault monitoring applications – SMARTS (EMC-SMARTS/VMWare-SMARTS)
  • Maintain and Document requirements, source and evaluate alternatives, and recommend solution that best fits stakeholders’ needs

Optional Skills

  • Knowledge in Microservices, Containers and Kubernetes
